Data controller
What data we process and why
Traffic measurement (Google Analytics 4): pseudonymous usage data — approximate location from an anonymized IP, device and browser type, pages visited. Purpose: measuring and improving content. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) given via the cookie banner, which can be withdrawn at any time.
Consent record: when you give or change consent we store a pseudonymous identifier, the domain, your category choice, the time and the banner/policy version. Purpose: to evidence consent under Art. 7(1) GDPR. Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest and compliance with a legal obligation. We do not store your IP address or direct identifiers.
Necessary (technical) cookies: ensure the site and the cookie banner work; they are not used for any further processing.
Recipients
Analytics data is processed by Google (Google Ireland Ltd.) as recipient.
Consent records are stored with a cloud infrastructure provider in the EU (database in the Frankfurt region).
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Google may process data outside the EU/EEA, in particular in the USA, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses (SCC).
Consent records remain stored in the EU.
Retention
Google Analytics: event data 2 months, user-level data 14 months.
Consent record: for the validity period of the consent (12 months) and a reasonable period afterwards to evidence it.
Individual cookie lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy.
